Age Verification Policy

1) Age requirement
Zest Playground Limited provides services intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old and meet any higher legal age that applies to the specific gambling product or activity you access in New Zealand (for example, some casino-style gambling has a higher minimum age).
2) Our age-gating and verification approach
- Age gate: we may ask you to confirm your date of birth and that you meet the applicable minimum age before you can access age-restricted content or features.
- Risk-based verification: we may verify your age at sign-up, before enabling certain features, at withdrawal, or at any time we consider necessary (including where we suspect you may be underage).
- Checks we may use: document checks (e.g., passport or NZ driver licence), selfie/liveness checks, and electronic verification using trusted data sources. We may also verify address/payment details where relevant.
- Data handling: we only request information reasonably necessary to confirm your age and identity, and we retain it in line with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations (including AML/CFT where applicable).
3) If you cannot be verified
If we cannot verify your age (or if you do not provide requested information), we may:
- restrict or block access to age-restricted areas and features;
- pause withdrawals and/or suspend your account until verification is completed;
- close your account if verification remains incomplete.
Any return of funds (if applicable) may be subject to security checks, AML/CFT requirements, chargeback risk, and our Terms.
4) Underage users and prevention
We take steps to prevent underage access, including age-gating, monitoring for inconsistent or suspicious account information, and requiring verification when needed. If we identify or reasonably suspect an account is used by someone under the applicable minimum age, we may immediately restrict access and investigate. Where confirmed, we may close the account and take any other steps required or permitted by law.
